The Skills for Success (S4S) program provides comprehensive, developmentally appropriate after-school activities, along with community support and education, for Walter Douglas Elementary School students — all free of charge.

This after-school program provides opportunities that directly benefit the academic and social needs of each student with a focus on reading, math, language arts, computer literacy, and positive self-concept.

Skills for Success activities include academic student enrichment through tutoring and computer assisted instruction, after-school high interest classes and fieldtrips, indoor and outdoor recreation, adult mentoring, and numerous educational opportunities for the surrounding community. By providing these activities, the Skills for Success staff members hope to enrich and enhance the lives of those attending Walter Douglas Elementary School.

Funding for the operation of Y.E.S. is derived solely from tuition of the students who attend the program.  There is an annual, non-refundable registration fee per child: $60.00 for the first child, $55.00 for the second child, and $50.00 for each child thereafter.

The Y.E.S. rate is $4.00 per hour per child.  Minimum billing time is one hour per day.  If your child does not attend the program for one week, your account will be automatically charged $20.00 per child.
